VideoShell for 3rd Gen iPod NanosIn a nut-’shell’ it’s a clear case with a ‘kickstand’ for your 3rd gen iPod Nano. It’s made from a protective polycarbonate that shields your precious nano from danger. The ‘kickstand’ also provides a unique hands-free way method of video viewing. Kinda neat.

The case provides access to the dock connector and headphone jack as well.

Toss your Nano into this bad boy and throw it in your bag or pocket. It’s not going to get scratched or damaged in this bad-boy!

The VideoShell for iPod Nano is available for $19.99 USD from the DLO site. Click here for more info.

PDair Leather Case for iPod TouchThird parties are obviously delighted that Apple doesn’t provide iPod buyers with cases. Personally, I’m a bit annoyed that Apple don’t provide a power adapter or AV leads with their iPods, which they did with the iPod Photo.

As this situation isn’t going to change anytime soon, I was in the market for an iPod Touch case.

I like belt clip cases and I decided on the PDair leather case.

The design is a book-like cover that opens up to reveal a clear plastic front that you can operate the iPod Touch through.

The case also comes with a removable plastic stud that you can twist onto the back of the case and then attach a belt clip onto. The stud and belt clip combination makes the case quite bulky but I do like the quick-release button at the top of the clip that allows you to keep the belt clip on your belt while disengaging the iPod Touch from it. To reattach, you simply push the iPod Touch back onto the clip until you hear a click.

After having the case for a couple of weeks, there are a couple of issues I’ve had with it:

1. I find it hard to type near the edges of the iPod Touch screen because the leather rim gets the way.

2. The iPod Touch screen sticks to the transparent plastic in random places and causes an effect similar to air bubbles. It’s a bit annoying when watching a video but doesn’t hamper usage.

Overall though, I am very happy with the case and would recommend it to those looking for a case for their iPod Touch.

More information and pictures are available from the PDair website.
