Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D for iPhone

New from the good people at Vivendi Games comes Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D. It claims to be (and is) the richest 3D kart racing experience on the iPhone. Hop on your cart and race through 12 tracks. Battle your opponents and run them off the road using one of your 8 crazy weapons.

To drive, simply take your iPhone and tilt it left and right to steer! Controls are intuitive, and gameplay is pretty darn fun. This title will be enjoyable for anyone that logged a ton of hours playing Crash Bandicoot on the old Playstation.

I’ve read multiple reports that the game does slow down quite a bit, in the middle of gameplay. That could be quite infuriating! In the App Store the game is getting mixed reviews… even though the average rating is 4 out of 5 stars!

4 In A Row Game for the iPhone or iPod TouchOur good friend Dan over at Stunt Software has just released his first ever game for the iPhone… and we couldn’t be more tickled.

4 In A Row is a ‘Connect 4′ themed game built for hours and hours of enjoyment for those old-school Connect 4 lovers. I know you’re out there.

Connect lines of 4 horizontal, vertical or diagonal chips before your opponent to win the game. You can play against the computer AI, another player on the same device, or play another opponent on another device within the same wireless network.

You can pick up ‘4 In A Row’ for only $4.99 USD at the Apple App Store. Do us a favor and check it out, will ya?

Congrats Dan on the first game release, we hope there are more to come!

iDope for iPhoneI was just recently made aware that a game I was once obsessed with is now available for my iPhone - that game being Dope Wars!

This cult favorite is not only addicting, but heart-racing legal fun! Pardon all the puns!

If you haven’t heard about this game,  it’s basically the life of a drug dealer or at least what you think their life would be like… Choosing which products you would like to sell, being in the right location at the right time to sell the products, so you can pay off your loan shark before the time runs out, then of course being chased by the police!

If you haven’t tried this game why not give it a try (it’s available using the installer.app on any jailbroken iphone and the itouch — Update your sources and look for iDope in the Games folder.)  I am going to try and resist the temptation this time to play the game, but I bet I give in before the day ends!

Happy Playing!

Rubik's Cube Game for iPhoneTime for the weekend… Lets have some fun with a ‘lighter’ story here.

While the app store is coming soon (can’t come soon enough), this hasn’t stopped some developers from releasing some decent web games for play on the iPhone. Case in point is this 3D Rubik’s Cube game from Balazs Peter Vagvolgyi.

From Balazs:

“This is the first JavaScript application I’ve ever written but I still could finish it in about ten nights… I’m particularly proud of the 3D engine built on JavaScript and HTML CANVAS that features ambient and directional lighting and backface culling.”

Want to give it a shot for yourself? http://www.vagvolgyi.com/rubikscube/rubikscube.html on your iPhone (or heck play it right now on your computers’ browser!) and tap, tap, tap away :)

Gameloft Set to Develop 15 iPhone GamesGameloft has confirmed that they will be developing 15 iPhone games for sale in the new AppStore via iTunes.

Gameloft currently has 4 games in iTunes (I believe) including ‘LOST‘, ‘Block Breaker Deluxe‘, ‘Bubble Bash‘, and ‘Brain Challenge‘. Did I miss any titles there?

If I could get one request in, I’d like to see an ultra-realistic Formula 1 racing game. The F1 season is underway and I’m quite pumped about it :)
