Probably the most anticipated new game for the iPhone since the ‘Town Hall’ meeting way back in March has been Super Monkey Ball.
In Super Monkey Ball, your goal is to guide your cute little monkey (that is encased in a transparent ball by the way) by tilting and rolling him through slopes, turns and drops that face him. Concentrate and navigate him through tough courses to reach the goal before time ends. Along the way you will want to collect as many bananas as you can to increase your life count.
The game has 5 worlds and 110 stages. More than enough of a challenge to keep most gamers happy for quite some time.
The control of the game may get some getting used to for some people, as it can be quite twitchy/touchy. But once you have the use of the accelerometer down, you’ll be good to go.

As a casual poker player myself, I found this one quite interesting… and really, with the poker boom over the past few years, you have to expect multiple poker titles out for the iPhone now don’t you?
The first poker app to hit the iPhone via the App Store is called simply ‘Texas Hold’em‘ (brilliant name) and was developed by Apple.
The game features some really rich graphics and environments. You can switch between a cool first-person gameplay mode, or a top-down, more traditional style of gameplay mode. The first-person mode is a nice change from the norm.
‘Texas Hold’em‘ features tough AI opponents that will bet, bluff, and they even have secret tells for you to pick up on. There is also a Wi-Fi multiplayer mode which features support for up to 9 players!
‘Texas Hold’em’ is available for the iPhone and iPod Touch, and requires iPhone 2.0 Software Update. You can get it in the App store for $4.99.
