Next-Gen iPhone Concept

Gizmodo is showing an image of how the next-gen iPhone a.k.a iPhone 4G may look, it is a flatter and thinner design showing the white and the black version of the iPhone.

Althought this is just a concept, it’s good to think it will feature a front camera for video conferences and a bigger sensor in the normal camera, this is a must have if Apple wants to keep it’s position in the smartphone market, other phones are using 8 Megapixels sensors while the iPhone uses just a 2 MP, also, it wouldn’t hurt adding a flash for those night pictures.

What do you think about the concept? How will you improve the iPhone design? Let us know in the comments.

iPhone 4G Casing Images Emerge… Real or Fake?

Tasty little images have dropped all across the interwebs this morning. The pictures appear to be of the new iPhone 4G casing, at least that what it appears to be. Keep in mind these images are nothing but rumor at this point… These so-called images of new devices, cases, etc. often end up being bunk.

With that said, I actually think this looks not-so-bad. Looks like there’s some sort of slip-resistant coating on the back (good move). It also looks more metal than plastic… I’ve never been a huge fan of the plastic casing on the iPhone 3G.

One thing that points in the right direction for these images is that there is a new model number (A1303) and all of the FCC ID numbers. These are usually absent from the fakies often found on the streets of various cities around the world.

Take these for what they’re worth… What do you think? Real or not real? Look good, bad? Let’s speculate!

iPhone Video Concept Gets a Passing Grade… But No Honors.

Yet another iPhone 4G mockup has hit the interwebs. This time around it’s the ‘iPhone Video’. Can’t say I’m exactly keen on this concept, especially the form factor. Being thicker at one end, the device would be all out of balance. This could be an issue while holding it in the hand. If you had one of these, I’d hope you have a very good protective case for all the dropping you’d be doing. If nothing else, this gets me (and all of us) thinking about what the next generation lineup of iPhones will look like. What do you think?

No details on whom the concept designer is on this one… But if anyone out there knows, please do so in the comments as I’d like to give some ‘respect’.
