Backgammon players can now get their fix of backgammon at any time on their iPhone or iPod Touch. Backgammon is an easy to play game that has tons of features. If you already know the rules, you’ll be off to a flying start in no time.
You can compete against your friends or the computer AI. If you’re playing with a friend, the controls for them are rotated by 180 degrees. Move your pieces with one tap, highlight possible positions, undo movements and more. Controls are uber-easy.
The computer AI has three levels of difficulty. The top end computer opponent is very tough. At least for me. I’m no backgammon expert, but I play one on TV (lame joke).
Priced at $5.99, I think this game may be a touch on the expensive side for what it is… But if you enjoy backgammon, then it is worth every penny. Screens and app store details after the jump >

I love backgammon but try playing this game with the phone. Its pathetically predictable. If its the phone to win you dont stand a chance.I had a free version on the phone and hoping for something more challenging i bought it from the apple store. Its still the same silly game with none of the more”interesting features” What a waste of money
I think it is time for Adikus to rewrite this one or hand out a refund for all those who in good faith put money down for it. On the A1 game with the iPod Touch there is no way you can beat it, when it throws doubles after doubles time and time again to get out of a fix. I am quite a good player and can beat most computer versions more times than not. Also the Human to Human game does not work in the end game. Time and again it refuses to allow the white to be taken off in the order you wish, or not at all. We need an update please.
This game needs some work. On the easy modes, the AI makes pathetic choices and on the hard modes the AI loads the dice. the only way to beat the AI is through the doubling cube (i.e., cube management). you have no chance to out through the computer.
Haha, just as I expected. I downloaded this game and have been playing it feverishly, hoping the computer will stop loading the dice, but alas there is no end to it. If the computer decides to win, it always makes itself roll exactly what it needs, and makes you roll exactly what it needs. You’ve got no chance. Glad to see its not just me.
