As you might already know, I’m a huge fan of the ZiPhone iPhone Unlocking/Jailbreaking utility. It’s so easy to use and only takes seconds to run. There’s more good news about ZiPhone today as version 3.0 has been released.
It is able to hack any version of firmware from 1.0.0 through 1.1.4, and as mentioned previously, the process is so darn simple. Among the changes in 3.0 are a new embedded application installer, and support for customized plugins. It should also solve out any ‘grayed-out’ Wi-Fi issues.
The software is a free download, and weighs in at a measly 19MB for Mac and 18MB for Windows.

I’ve actually forwarded the direct link to this article to many a Windows user with an iPhone around work and in my circle of friends. They’re all kicking themselves for not listening when I told them how easy it was to unlock and jailbreak their iPhones instead of spending $30+ at the local asian phone stores.
