Leaked 3G iPhone Images Really the LG Vu?

As you might have seen or heard, more so-called images of the 3G iPhone have been leaked all over the Apple blogosphere. While they do look real, there is no confirmation from Apple… and lets face it, Photoshop can do wonders as we are all well aware.

Take a look at the side-by-side image I’ve prepared above. As you’ll notice, the supposed snap of the 3G iPhone bears a striking resemblance to the LG Vu in size and shape. It would be awfully easy to photoshop on the home button and anything else you wanted on there. Also note that the angle of the snaps you’ve seen elsewhere have the phone on an angle as such that you can only see the bezel of one side of the phone. This also happens to be the side on the LG Vu where no buttons are located. Hmmmmm… For real or do we just have another case of handy photoshop work at play here? I’m sure by now you can guess my opinion… what do you think? See the comparison pic above.

From the photos I’ve seen of the LG Vu, it has a chrome metal edge all around, and has three buttons along the right-side edge (http://www.dialaphone.co.uk/blog/?p=1355).

The phone with the Apple logo in the photos above have a solid black case (no chrome metal edge) and there are no buttons along the right edge. The top curve of the case is also rounder than the top of the LG Vu case.

This doesn’t look like an LG Vu that has been altered in Photoshop.

I don’t know about that Harvey. Too many similarities here. Removing buttons/adding buttons, logos and changing the bezel would be extremely easy in Photoshop. I’m skeptical.

    Hi (gh) Roller,

I’m not saying that these photos aren’t fake. I’m only saying that if they are fake they didn’t use an LG Vu in the process.

I work at AT&T corporate sales and have seen LG Vu many times, and i’ve never seen metal edges it looks like the picture posted here.

Unfortunately only the regional managers get to demo them.

I also notice that the display of the LG Vu is smaller than on the alleged iphone but I don’t think this is a real Iphone 3G
