Could it be that another large corporation is moving over to the iPhone? ZDNet Australia has reported that global bank HSBC is considering dropping the BlackBerry in favor of the iPhone. If this is indeed the case, that would mean an order of 200,000 iPhones would be coming down the pipe for Apple. I hope they have production cranked up to full tilt.
One would have to agree that having a large entity such as HSBC even consider the iPhone is a big thumbs up for the new Enterprise features built into the 2.0 Firmware.
Could be a domino effect here. Once enough large organizations move over… it could trigger another, then another… But who knows. Look for RIM to battle back with the release of the BlackBerry BOLD looming large!

Interesting. Honestly, I’m surprised. I’ve evaluated Apple laptops and the iPhone for use at the office as an alternative for some of the management team who has requested both in lieu of PC laptops and Blackberry Phones, and each time come up with the decision that Apple laptops are not ready for corporate use and the iPhone isn’t there for mobile email in the corporate environment.
Sadly, I’d like both to work out because I want both for myself, but can’t give either a thumbs up - yet at least.
