AT&T has gone ahead and made SIM cards available on their website for purchase without a handset. For only $5 you can pick up a SIM card (after rebate). However, it still requires that you also setup a 2-year contract. The new SIM can be used with an existing or unlocked handset. New SIM card anyone?

my question is does it make that much of a difference on the iPhone. i would like to see some speed results.

the iphone comes with a 3g card in it (i think) eventhough it doesn’t have 3g, presumably so it can use edge in 3g coverage areas
