AT&T Offering Free Wi-Fi to iPhone UsersAfter some hemming and hawing, AT&T has officially introduced a free Wi-Fi plan for iPhone owners. The policy on this has changed several times… at one point they announced it, then retracted it… then announced it…. you get the picture. Looks like it is here to stay now though.

AT&T has confirmed that their iPhone customers should be able to access Wi-Fi from over 17,000 hotspots. I wonder how many of those are located at a Starbucks? :P

All-in-all this is good news for AT&T customers. Free Wi-Fi could never be a bad thing!

Old news is that once again, ATT backed off that confirmation. Hope to seem them commit to it though. Be a great customer boost for both Apple and ATT. I was at their store today and ended up using the local t-mobile wifi while I waited. How sad is that?
