Toronto will no longer be the only Canadian city with an Apple store (they have 3). Looks like the Apple Store is coming to Vancouver. As you can see from the image below, Apple is now accepting applications for a new store to be located in Pacific Centre.
Exciting news for our friends on the west coast!

I’m a proud Canadian. Glad to see Apple finally expanding into more Canadian centres. Toronto isn’t the only Canadian city, I’m glad Apple realizes that!!!

Actually, it will be the 3rd Canadian city with and Apple Store.
In addition to Toronto stores, Montreal has had an Apple Store in the Carrefour Laval Mall (in Laval, the largest suburb of Montreal) since September 9, 2006. Apple has also reportedly signed a $1.2million contract to lease a large “showcase” store in downtown Montreal too, complete with glass staircase, on Ste-Catherine St, the busiest downtown shopping street.
Here’s the Carrefour Laval store directory:

But it’s high time Vancouver, with the large population of Mac users it has, got at least one Apple Store. Could use a “showcase” store on Robson too…

A lot of heavy retailers are lining up to be in Vancouver in time for the 2010 Olympic$. The big question is how many will still be here the day after the closing ceremonies?
I’m glad an Apple store is opening here. You really get tired of the doe-eyed looks you get from Futureshop employees when it comes to Mac questions. The few local Apple resellers are just plain…. unexciting, or just don’t seem to care to help people when they walk in their door. It’s about time.
